FAQ | The Little Moonstone | Macrame Fibre Art | Medicine Hat, Alberta

Everything you see on the website is handmade by me! Most of the items you see are MADE-TO-ORDER, meaning they are made AFTER you order them.

Current processing time is approximately 2 to 3 weeks prior to shipping. For custom orders, the lead time varies! I do my best to get your items shipped to you in a timely manner. However, due to COVID 19 shipping delays are to be expected and out of my control. Your patience is widely appreciated.

Please know I am one only person and that handmade items can take time. I am working hard every day to get your items to you as quickly as possible! Your support keeps my dream alive by allowing me to be creative every single day, and I am immeasurably grateful for that!!

Do you accept custom orders?

I LOVE working on custom pieces! Whether it's customizing a previous work to fit your space or starting a new design from scratch, I can make something special and one of a kind just for you.

Please see the "Customs" option on my website menu for more information! You can learn all about how the process works and even reserve a start date for your custom order directly from that page. Once I receive your form, I will be in contact via email to discuss details further. Sketches and photos of colours will be provided to help you make your decision.

**Custom orders are closed until January 2021. **

Can I find your work in any storefronts?

I currently have pieces on display at the downtown location of Redcliff Bakery, which are for sale. Botanicals carries plant hanger and other fun goodies from time to time when I am able to provide Karri with extra stock.

I often participate in pop-ups or markets that are local to Medicine Hat or area. When I do have an upcoming event, you can find details on my Instagram page.

Do you sell your items wholesale?

I currently do not sell my work wholesale, but I can usually offer bulk discounts for orders of 15 or more! Feel free to contact me for pricing on a specific item.

Wall Hanging Care

Once you receive your wall piece, you may notice it has curled or crumpled during transit. Don’t freak out!! Lay your piece flat, or hang it on the wall, and the ends should straighten out within a few days. It may take some very gentle adjusting as well.

For hanging your piece, depending on size and weight, I highly recommend hanging from a load-bearing stud, or my personal favourite “Monkey Hooks”. Smaller, lighter pieces can be hung from a nail or command hook.

For plant hangers, there are a few options! There’s hanging from the ceiling, curtain rods or self brackets attached to the wall. Please, please be mindful of the weight and use appropriate studs and hardware to protect your walls.

It is also possible over time that the ends of your wall hanging may start to curl due to humidity. You may notice it more in pieces with tassels or brushed out areas. Fret not, just be sure to gently comb out with a small comb or pet brush. Lint rollers are great for removing any dust/dirt/extra fuzz!

Do you have a mailing list?

Of course! Scroll down to the bottom of the Home page and sign up!

Do you ship outside of Canada and the US?

I can - depends on import laws. Send me a message if you're interested, and we can chat about what that means for your piece!
